Go Tell It On The Mountain

Ava's school, Early Learning Center, has a short early morning Christmas Sing-A-Long in the church sanctuary for parents. Only the 3s, 4s, and kindergarteners participate in this tradition, and the toddlers, babies, and parents watch. Since Ava's class was the youngest to sing, none of us were sure what to expect. I'm not sure if they just all had stage fright, or if no one had ever heard this song before! Below are a couple of photos and a brief video of the magic. :)

Jam Session!

After the Harvest Feast, Ava went over to her classmate/friend Alton's house to play. Alton just so happens to have the coolest house ever, because he lives right across the street from our favorite park and his parents have stocked his brother Eliot's room with the most awesome instruments! Ava loves music, and wasted no time having a jam session with her buddy. They took turns playing the guitar, keyboard and drums. Ava clearly favored the drums, but had fun with the others, too! Check out the pictures from their play date rock out (the last one is an awesome video)!!!
Acoustic set.

Lead guitar.

She JUST SO HAPPENED to be wearing a shirt that says, "My Dad Rocks!"

Tickling the ivories.
