Prior to Ava's tonsillectomy surgery on August 3, she had to have blood work done. I knew this woudl be tough, based on a prior experience. I was so proud of her; she was such a big girl. Yes, there were tears, but she recovered quickly and especially enjoyed her treats after. I snapped this photo of her on the way back out to the car, and thought it was adorable. What a trooper, right? She has her arm wrapped, but proudly displays her stickers with honor, and carries her comrade Maddie the Monkey back from battle...
